Greetings Beckerheads!

I love the BK62, but I was wondering if anyone knows somebody that makes and/or sells custom scales for this model, other than the natty micarta set that every hit on Google gives ya…

Sorry if I missed a thread asking this already or an old one—nothing jumped out at me.

Oh and—anyone tried the Sagewood leather cross draw?

Thanks!

Would love to see what you turn up for the 62.
It's not real hard to make them, but they're a little fiddly because thin.
(I've made several and will not make more - I buy them from kabar)

The micarta scales are actually pretty sweet, honestly. The texture is much smoother than the full-size micarta scales. They sand well and do take dye to an extent (I did a mahogany leather dye set).

TKC did tell me that they planned aftermarket scales for the 62 about 18 months ago, but that was before kabar released their own micarta ones. I'm not sure what the status of that plan might be now. Covid slowed down everything. I found they were responsive to email.

Thanks, I will check into it and see what I can find out! Otherwise, I will probably try out the stock micarta based on your recommendation. (Since they are so thin I will definitely want a backup set for the wood anyway.)
