As I understand it, the BK7 and BK9 are no longer shipping with the free Chinese BK13 (Remora), correct? Does this mean that the sheaths have also been modified to do away with the mini-sheath that facilitated the BK13, or does that little sheath still exist even on the BK7's and 9's not shipping with the BK13?

i assume they left it.

the mini-sheath slot is present on the BK-05 Magnum Camp too :) and mine is filled with a brand new, American made BK-13 Remora of course :> thing is like a mini-scalpel. whoa.

You mean BK13, right? Or do I have my numbers mixed up. Tomar's has the BK14 as being the EsKabar.

I don't know, where did you hear that?

the original plan was they made up some number of, mmm, experimental Remoras, and had them made in China. they're not too bad actually and quite usuable... and threw those in as freebies. people liked them enough as well, that i believe they sold more than a few as standalones?

in any event, once the freebie supply ran out, that was probably going to be "it" for inclusions, and if you wanted one, the idea was you could buy a USA made one (fit and finish is much nicer), and you'd have a home to put it in - at least 3 sheaths have a mini-sheath just for this purpose.

so the phrase i was looking for, and finally remembered was:

"while supplies last"
