Does anyone EDC a BK7? I just got one, wrapped it in paracord, and am thinking of carrying it a few days out of the week for EDC, thoughts?

I do that without any modifications at all. It'll fit into yoru waistband on your pans if you turn the sheath around backwards, and then fold over teh belt loop. After a while, you can get used to it pretty easily. Here in South Dakota, you can carry any knife which has a blade that is not exceeding 10 inches, other than a switchblade.

i'm LEO, I can carry any weapon of any sort anywhere.

:D :D :D
I'm a LEO, too...Born on July 29th :D, but the darn law here in Washington state won't "allow" me to carry a fixed-blade concealed (eventho I am a retired Deputy Sheriff, and hold a Concealed Weapons Permit), but I do anyway...(my Camillus CUDA CQB-1).

Haha, didn't think about the sign leo, how about PoPo :D

Well i'm a current l.e.o. but I understand your frustration, thats why I live in a non-commy state: Georgia...

I actually wore my BK7 to dinner tonight, IWB tucked under my shirt...with royal robbins on, worked great, comfy too...

Had that and a microtech, and a m.o.d., and several guns...I love my state

and I love the BK7...BIG THUMBS UP!

You guys are quite lucky to be allow to do that. Not allow to do it here. Would be in jail if caught.

I sure wish America would grow up and realize knives are primarily tools, not weapons. And even if they were weapons, so what? They're darn handy!!! Anybody who doesn't like them must not have ever carried one. If they did, they'd realize how useful and safe they really are.

Calyth, you CAN do that here.....you just can't conceal it. I carried a CS Recon Tanto as EDC when I lived in Victoria which is only a ferry ride away from you. I live in the Southern Interior now, and still EDC just about any fixed blade that I can fit on my belt. Canadian knife law is actually more liberal than most US locales, except for the concealment issue...

Maybe non-commy state for you as a L.E.O. but it is far from a knife friendly state for the rest of us.

edited to add that I would love to carry the BK7 as a EDC and think that it would be a good choice if you can.
