BK7 backordered?

I was going to order a BK7 and come to find out they are factory backordered. Are they that popular? Whats the deal? Anyone?
 
The store that is named after a large river has them in stock. It is a nice compromise between a BK2 and a Bk9.
 
This is the first time Ive seen this but Tomars does show both the BK7 and BK9 as factory back ordered.
 
The place I have ordered all my Beckers from was mentioned and it showed backordered. I have been lusting after a 7 for a while and just found out I was getting a good bonus from work and went to order a 5(awesome sauce) and the 7(awesomer sauce) and the 7 is on factory backorder.
 
preparedmind101 (youtube) is to blame. A bunch of his followers have bought one in the past year or so. And loving it too, I'm sure.;)
 
KA-BARS website shows these back ordered too. Interesting. I wonder if the demand has overwhelmed the supply or if something else is going on? I would definitely buy somewhere else rather than wait who knows how long for them to come back in stock. I hope you get one SRWeldon.

I am among those.
Was on the fence about which knife to buy.
His videos, along with actually getting to fondle a 7 at a shop was what pushed me towards my final purchase.
Since then I have bought a 9 and 11 also!
I am enjoying my new-found Becker fanboyism!!
 
Well I ordered the 7 from an above named sight this morning and already got the confirmation email with tracking #.
