So as some of you may have seen I've made a couple sheaths.
Bought my stuff locally at Tandy leather. they don't have a great selection of kydex making products. they will do in a pinch but I'd like to see a better selection.
So i priced out some products from Knifekits.
Kydex
proper eyelets
decent eyelet setter
Price with shipping comes out to over $100 to here in Canada. So don't see that as being good for me when I can get them made by a pro for less.
So anyone wanna make me a sheath set up for My BK7/14?

pm or email me at dmsmith12@live.com

thanks

So decided to use my last piece of 0.060 kydex and make a sheath until I get some proper 0.080 Kydex and eyelets. thanks to a fellow Canuck who is gonna help me out.

Kinda followed a Set up i found on Youtube.
made couple mistakes on the BK7 sheath and haven't finished the bk14 sheath yet

Used tin snips to cut the shape of the big sheath. then a orbital sander to get it more or less even.

Anyone have a better way to cut the Kydex other than a bandsaw? I have a dremel but when I use that it's not the smoothest cut either.

Dremel and a piece of sandpaper to smooth it. The good part about the cost is most of the stuff you only buy once or rarely (setter, eyeleys, etc). Kydex is cheap.

did some more work. Still need to do a little more to the bottom of the BK14 sheath and add another eyelet for better retention.

Found some Firesteels up here for a decent price. Added that to the sheath.

Still waiting on some better eyelets and 0.080 kydex.

Also picked up a Bandsaw and a 1x30 belt sander. Should have a drill press soon too.

End of the month I plan to get some of Knifekits eyelet dyes.
