Evenin' folk,

This weekend I happened into a new old stock BK7 at a deal I could not pass up on. It has the older "BK&T Combat Utility 7/Camillus, NY, USA" stamp. Now I had and sold a BK9 some several years ago, before Kabar was involved. So I am aware of the history somewhat.

Question I have, is there any appreciable difference between mine and the new Kabar versions? Any reason not to use it due to vintage, do I need to set it aside?

Thanks

No real difference, steel is slightly different, Grivory scales are thicker, coating is closer to the brandy new Kabar versions you see out now. Ride it hard and put it up wet!

Oh, and

Pictures? or you really didn't get one.

Ok, one BAD picture as requested.

Yep, pretty standard Cammy Bk7. Use it, use it hard, beat on it. Those sell for just slightly more than they're KaBar counterpart.

Good deal, that is what I needed to know. Warrior, that thread is a goldmine, thanks.

It is growing on me. As I said, I had a BK9 one time, but it turned out to be a bit larger than I needed. This is a good size between it and my Swamp Rat RMD.

Thanks again for the information.
