??? BK7 defect???

I have just got my BK7 (yesterday). I love it. It is the knife I need, but I found that ther is something wrong with the edge.

I thought the edge should be straight near the scales.

Is this a defect of my knife? I do not know?
Could You check how your bk7 is build.
Have this "thing" any influance on strength of knife?

The edge on mine curved up a little at the choil, too, but it's barely noticeable. Actually it's not there any more, since it got ground out when I thinned out the edge a little.
It's not a defect. The grind was just off a hair.
It doesn't hurt anything. These are working tools at bargain prices. They're not going to be perfect. I've had worse edges come on knives that cost five times as much.
No big deal, it won't hurt the function of the knife, and after it's been sharpened a few times, you'll never know it was there.
