I'm in the process of putting this one together for my brother-in-law and will be giving it to him this week. He served from '96-'04 with an 18 month deployment in Iraq.

This project essentially started when I got the BK9 and I wasn't using the BK7 much anymore. I was thinking I'd just sell it and then was inspired by some of Clich's etch work. I'm not the artist he is, so I'm still using masks to lay down my lines. However, I already have another idea in mind and will be going the paint, then scratch out the etch areas method, so it can be a little more fluid.

After deciding to etch this one for him, I contacted Oregon Fal'er to make up a set of scales in the traditional desert camo, which is what he was issued when he was there. They came out freaking fantastic and I'm deeply grateful for his work on these!

It is finished, but I didn't feel the kitchen table at night pics did it any justice, so ya'll are going to have to wait until this afternoon to see good pics of the finished product!

Thats awesome, can't wait for the finished pics!

Wow!!! I have no idea how you do that but I would love to learn. My artistic talents start and end with stick figures.

Aaaaaaand....the finished product. Actually, I gave it a really good sharpening after the pics, because a little burr showed up on the tip.
