BK7 finger choil?

Yeah, it's been done. I'm sure someone will show up with photos.

I'll post a pic later. Just realized I don't have any pics of my 7, just the sheath.

Yep, sure have. I ground off the thumb ramp to reveal Wayne and choiled the undercarriage. I found I was gripping forward and my finger kept getting bit by the back end of the blade. I love the new setup.

daizee, something about great minds think alike? :D

Imperial seal was carved and painted white, then covered with some kinda transparent glue that yellowed with time. Off came the glue and paint

Wayne is what we call that dimple in the spine left after you take the thumb ramp down. It sits lower than the spine, so when everything is leveled, Wayne sits there as a witness.

Why do we call it Wayne? I guess you'll have to ask Tradewater.

I finally found the original thread (was going to delet my post but was too late). It seems the name Wayne just came as a joke to answer the question, "What do we call the leftover jimping groove after the thumb ramp is ground down?" And "Wayne" stuck.

And FWIW, finger choil looks great. That's one of the reasons I love my BK-15.
