Hey Guys....

I posted a questions about micrata slabs for the BK7 on the Camillus forum...

Does Camillus make these ???

I'm in a bit of a jam here and need a set in a Hurry..
Got an airman deploying and the sheath I sent is for factory plastic handles,,and he has micarta,, so the sheath doesn't fit...
I don't have much time...

Where can I get a set to buy, beg or borrow QUICK ???

Any help would be appreciated

You can order them directly from camillus for about $27.00 you have to call though since they aren't listed in the online store. When I put them on my companion, it got loose in the sheath (kydex) so I just heated it up and reformed the lips of the sheath to fit.

Is there a huge difference between the two ??

There seems to be quite a bit of play from on this knife...

I may end up talking him through re-heating the mouth and fitting it..I believe he leaves in a week or so...

There is quite a difference between the two. I just tried to give you a call at the phone number on your web site, but I got some doctor's office so I guess I don't know how to make calls from the US to canada. If you could give me quick instructions, I could call you so you can ask all the information you need from me right now. I will check the forum for the next ten minutes or so.
 
Okay, I am going to get some sleep now, but feel free to email me any questions you have or instructions on how to call canada from the US. I tried 1+the 10 digit number on your website, and I got a doctor's office so I must be missing something. You could have him overnight the micarta slabs to you.
 
A lot of Americans have the idea 1 means long distance, but really it's the country code for the US. Try the number on his website without putting a 1 in front of it.
 
just tried it after I saw your post cougar. I got the "I'm sorry, but you must dial a 1 blah blah when making this call".

Thanks much,, and sorry about the phone calls,, not sure what the problem is with that.. 1.519.738.6693 should get you through, however when I'm on the net,,you'll only get an answring machine..I'm in the sticks here and only have (gag) Dialup.

I think I have everything figured out though..
I wrote him a help file,, and we'll see what he wants to do...

Worst comes to worst,, I'll order a set of slabs from Camillus, build him a new sheath and mail to his APO. In the meantime,hopefully he'll be able to retro the BK7 standard sheath.

Eric,

If you want, I can take pictures of the micarta slabs laying on a flat surface next to the plastic slabs from all angles and email them to you if you think that would help in any way.

I just got an email from the fellow with a picture of his BK 77..First I have heard of this knife, or at least referred to as a BK 77...
I guess it is the Extreme version of the BK7...

I think I got everything under control now...

Sorry about the urgency sounding post..I was just in a little panic,as these things Really bother me....
