Thought I would post a few small mods I have done to one of my BK7's

Stripped and Cleaned up blade

Added Micarta and White handle liners

Added some strap down the knife sheath

Added some velcro on the pocket

all the way to the bottom, its one strap....

I love the look of the white spacers and the micarta! Very nice, classy knife!

How much thicker is the handle with the liners?

With the liners it feels like the BK2 but with a BK7 blade..

Yeah, those look awesome. what material did you use?

White DVD case, I just traced the handle then cut them out with some good scissors and used a little sandpaper to get them perfect.

Why the strap in the plastic sheath liner? Why not reheating and shaping? Not a criticism, just curious why you went that route instead. Looks like it would protect the polished blade more so than just the plain plastic insert.

When I first got the blade I didn't know about taking the liner out and reheating it, the other thing is I rub a small amout of oil on the strap and it keeps it from rusting....

from the color in the pics the micarta appear to be dyed?

they look almost purple?

nice looking 7, thinking this might be my next purchase
