Well I've got pics, and plenty of em!!! just finished with modding the grivory scales. couldn't be happier :D so I'm bonn kick it off with a pic of it stripped. This (obviously) is before the handle mod.

AS i was as tripping it, i noticed lots of little holes going into the blade, before it tapers down. They are shown in the following pic. Also, after stripping, there seems to be a bunch of vertical lines running all the way down the blade. Im assuming this is just the composition of the steel, but if theres any way to get rid of them things, that'd be great. They are also shown below.

now for kydex. The retention is great, and i had my guy put in a pivot point at the belt loop so the knife has a little bit of swing to it. This is also shown in the pics.

Lastly the handle mods. Just finished those up today. I started just going straight down and making little holes with my soldering iron, but i decided it didn't look good and would take forever. So i held the iron at an angle, and pressed down for each pit. The result is a (in my opinion) good looking, comfortable set of scales.

^ this is right after first side was done. it was a little rough for me, so i sanded it down.

i sorta think it resembles a tree bark pattern... either way, I'm happy with it :D lemme know what'll think!

My 2 have those same lines; I just ignore them though. I think they will polish out.

Very nice job on the stippling! It does remind me of tree bark.

Congrats on the new 7. You'll love it!

Handles look fantastic! Reminds me of shark skin.

Congrats on the new CroVan! I'm sure you'll love it and all the other Beckers you're about to buy.

Congrats on the BK7. Whats next?
I think those pits are from the heat treat process and the lines are grind lines. They will polish out with a lot of work.

Great mods on your 7. The kydex sheath looks really nice as well. Have to admit; after seeing the first pic of your handles my hands started cringing lol but the finished product looks awesome, very organic. Great work!

Haha yes they were way to rough to begin with. U can always just sand then down and get em to whatever roughness you'd like :) thanks guys!

Nice work.
Those grind lines can be polished out, but like cschol said - it'll be a LOT of work. I removed 'em on the 15 and 5, but left 'em on the 7. After a bit of patina, you can hardly tell the difference.

As said before, I also have them on my 2, seems to be rather common. I am really liking how those scales turned out.

Ok that's fine. They don't bother me that much anyways... Haha i am too! :p the grip is phenomenal but not so rough it tears up my hands. I did sand i down a little more after whats shown in the pics...
Thanks!

If this was posted last night around 5 I think I would havr followed suit with the scales, I took a dremel to mine and they turned out pretty good, sanded those as well. But I like the bark like look of yours better. Bk7=Bark knife 7?
