BK7 Remora 'Era 1' or Knock-offs?

I got lost in the web and stumbled across these images ...

The BK7 looks okay but, being a newbie, the box is a strange color with no "BK&T" on the label and the 'Remora' seems off - odd shaped plunge line, "KA-BAR" on side of the ricasso, "BK13 China" on the other.

Looking in the Becker Blade Database, there is mention of an "Era 1" BK13 made in China and the 'China' Remora's ricasso does seem to match the blueprint drawing.

Early gen or Knock-offs?

Well, it seems that EB does mention early "Made in China" BK13's coming with BK7's - http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/showthread.php/655200-I-am-holding-a-US-made-BK13-in-my-hand/page2

So these are most likely Early Gen?

Yes, and that box is fine. Note that the 7 is stamped and not etched.
