Can someone point me at a place that sells them?

i think ESEE sells them...

oh, you mean the ones at the top? sorry, 15 years too late. Camillus. no longer in production.

They are real hard to find. I've only seen 3 sets for sale in the last year. The two I bought and one of those two that I sold.

I've been on the lookout for a set of these myself. I will have some one day. Oh yes, I sure will.

The texturing looks like it might take some doing though. Making scales is a fun project though, and those, aside from the texturing, are pretty basic.

It's quite a bit of work, not hard work but time consuming and at times frustrating. I've done between 20 and 30 sets of scales for these knives and I still am learning on every set. Sometimes I even make the same mistakes over and over again. For example yesterday I had a new set of green/orange linen micarta I had made up and went through all the milling operations and thought I was basically done except trimming off all the extra material and shaping them up, when I realized I made them both for the left hand side of the knife, yet drilled all the holes in the same place on both pieces. Sorry Capt.

It does take some time. But I find that I get so focused that time flies, and I really enjoy seeing it take shape and I'm proud of the finished product.

They're real nice. But honestly, the Ka-Bar micarta is better.
