BK7 Sheath Question

Alright guys...What fits into the front pouch of the issued BK7 sheath? It seems like somewhat of an odd size. Looks like you could throw a few things into it, maybe a 1911 magazine. Is that a scabbord for a small knife? The 13? Thought there might be a bit of paracord for the legstrap since the BK11 had plenty with it. Just asking.

The pouch fits an altoids tin perfectly, which I believe it was actually designed to carry. Also, that is a sheath for the 13. For a short time the 7 and 9 came with the 13 included, and now even though they are not sold with them anymore, the sheath still comes suited for them.

Also, they can be stretched to accommodate the 11 and 14 if you do a bit of molding on the sheath :).

Hope that helps.

I keep diamond hones in mine. Altoid tins do not fit in the ones I have, but they're Camillus versions.

I think altoid tins fit in all of em. They take a little stretching out but I have them in the Ka-Bar or camillus version sheaths.

Didn't even try the altoids tin. Looks like it might be tight. Now I have to buy a 13? Wasn't going to do any mods to the BK7 until I beat it up a bit, but I made a little more finger room and a choil too. Pics later, thought I had the sd card in my pocket.

On my stock sheath, without a 13, it had room for an Altoids tin and a bit more, lengthwise. Like a folded bandana, or paracord. I recently purchased some Azwelke Kydex Sheaths and as soon as the mail arrives I will unveil my super secret squirrel sheath setup! If you're looking to have a bigger pouch on your sheath, stay tuned!*

Found it!
Here BK7 is next to a chopper I have cut out and ready to grind. On the other side is piggy knife I forged from a file with corian handles.

This is what I did to the handle. Just a little grinding and it feels real good in my hand.

Found an altoids tin in the work truck and after some manipulation got it stuffed into the pouch. Glorious Day.

I definitely read this the first time as "folded banana". I'm thinking, why would you ever try to fold a banana? That can't end well.

Ah... good ol' reading comprehension fail.

"Super Secret Squirrel Sheath Setup" I like that!
I've got one too;) This is one that I made for a customer using an ESEE-Acc. Pouch.

It's a Kydex "pancake" sheath, CB front & BK back. Just took a few pics before I ship it out and it's the first thing I thought of when I read the thread title. I can make'em with a BK-11/14 sheath built in piggy-back style too. Consider this my "BK-sheath mod" ;-)>

You're not the only one who read that... Just saying...

I wanna see the super secret squirrel sheath setup. Although after a few days that sucker is gonna stink. Then some stray dog is gonna eat that sheath up. Is this how it looks?

How do you get it to stay on your belt?

I read it as folded banana too. I was thinking "What the hell! Is this code for some kind of top secret survival tool that I know nothing about!" And then I thought "Well...maybe he's just wierd and likes stuffing fruit into sheaths." I'm glad you caught that on a second read CCMI, because that would have bothered me all day.

By the way, I'm new to the BK&T Forum. I just picked up a BK11 the other day and I absolutely love it. I've never had a fixed blade for an edc, but this knife is bad ass. I'll pick up the BK2 next and I'm sure I'll own the rest of the family soon. I love this forum! I wish I had known about it before now. Oh well, I look forward to getting to know you all.

Is there a super easy way to post pics? I'm having troubles.
