BK7 sheath

I just got a BK7 Kabar, and the sheath has a plastic insert which would work better if molded to the blade shape, yet I cant get it out of the nylon webbing. has anyone taken out their plastic insert and molded it to the blade? Is there a better aftermarket sheath for the BK7?
