Before I start, let me say that beckers are meant to be used,,, I know that and I do use quite a few of mine...
I got a bk10 from kabar recently (yep with all the bells and whistles!), I love this blade and would love to beat the snot outta it, but it is a collectors knife really at this point.. which got me to thinking...

Bk7's are cheaper and plentiful it seems, so what about modifying a beat up bk7 to the basic blade shape of the bk10? I would get the thumbramp style I like, and not beat the hell outta my new bk10. Has anyone done this, do you have pics, and how did you like the finished result. I am shopping around now for a few beat up bk7's to acquire so I can do this. I have kids ya know and they will want one too!!

Yeah it has been done before. I can't remember exactly who. I think it was TAGannon. Either way it can and has been done.

Yeah, TAGannon did it a great job on one of these. I bet we start seeing these more and more now that the 10's are gone.

TAG just sold his on Feb 2nd in the exchange. Just one more thing I had to pass on for MAchAxTwEEnersBK14gRiVoRY.

This is TAGs.

We should call that a BK-7 1/2 really. I'd buy one, I really like the looks of it.

Use your 10, that's what it's for. They really only increase in value up to a point anyways. Say it doubles in price in ten years? woohoo. For 150ish I would rather have had the fun of using it for the last decade. Or pick up a spare, or two people are always selling stuff. Lifes short, use all your toys.

Thank you!

it's almost got it's price up 50% in months :)

some idjit collector wannabe like myself will come along and want it new, in box, with the bells and whistles, with literature, and signed too. think of the glory :)

that's why you buy TWO :> safe queen. user.

i'm still waiting for someting to make a BK77 -> BK10. awesome. i mean, perfectly good BK77 ready to make into maybe TWO knifes. enough stock perhaps for a tweener and some neckers too.

Ta hell with that Bladite!! I'm using my Cam 77!!

I use 'em all but I do have a BK10 waiting it's first use by my son when he is old enough to have it.
