Agreed, the king is looking great.

And I'm with you, I've learned quite a bit about knives and about wilderness skills from these guys. Its great fun :).

Now I'm just wishing there was a place I could ask the BH's about what kind of sleeping bag to get. I've been researching for a few days, and have really made no headway :(.

Post it as off topic maybe!

How do you like that ... Gum (?) container in your pack? I see lots of guys using altoids tins, but that looks quite a bit bigger, but also maybe harder to get things into and out of. What exactly do you carry in there (round about way of asking "how much does it fit").

And maybe I'll try an off topic thread about gear here sometime soon, thanks for the tip :).

It is gum container but I think a bandaid tin is same size. I found I couldn't fit everything I wanted in altoids.you can just barely fit the gum tin in a stock sheath but it fits. That maxpedition barnacle is huge compared to stock. The gum container has:nano light flashlight, signal mirror, fishing kit, wire saw, lighter, ferrostick and quick start,6ft wire,3ft duct tape, headache pills, sinus pills,2bandaids,4water pur tabs, waterproof paper, pencil,tinfoil,40 ft nylon sewing thread, ass.safety pins, sewing needle, razor blade.. It needs to be redone as the new knife can carry more and has some redundancy.

You make it sound like I do something around here. I just like making Bladite squirm and tell me time and again how Im voiding the warranty. And getting the core BHs to call me a post whore.

Awesome 9. I got something special.planned for mine if I can just find the time. Now got any tips on how to get rid of a wife and kid? Perhaps that fishy is hungry.....

Thanks for this, I'm just barely getting past the "I want knives" part, and into the "I should actually have gear and be prepared" phase. Lots of things you have in your kit I don't know if I would have thought about otherwise.

And Clich... you may be post crazy for BF, but I think other than Moose and Ethan/Kabar you have the lead in number of giveaways. That, and you post sick looking photos of all of your blades, causing something like triple the number of BK5 sales to happen :D.
