Hey all my Beckers were feeling jealous that my SOG Trident and Kershaw Kuro got new edges, so since they're my babies I treated them well!
check the back page for the video!!
This is all using a WorkSharp KO with 120# , 180#, 320# , 800# , 2000# , 6000# grit belts at a 20 degree angle.
Well here we go!
Here's my bench and belt holders!

Time for the fun, here's my BK2 before sharpening.

After 800# grit, shaving sharp.
Proceeded to 2000# and 6000#

Time for the Big Queen!

That poor poor edge after all that hard dense wood I've been abusing it with.

My first time setting it in, I thought it was hysterical how BIG this blade really is compared to the WorkSharp.

After the 800#, who says you can't do small detail work with a BK9? :P

I got an even BETTER edge on the BK9, look at that freaking mirror Shine!
I could shave with the BK2 using the BK9 as a mirror!! Haha.

Here's the babies oiled and cleaned up.

Nice looking edges! shiny.

I would be curious to see the difference between the edge I put on my knives by hand vs. one done with the WSKOE. I cleanly slice paper but have a little difficulty when it comes to hair shaving. Out of all the knives I own only one will take the hair clean off my arm because of the angle on the edge. All the rest will push cut news print but leave a patchy strip if I drag it down my arm/ leg. No clean shaves.

Awesome! Went from well-used to holy-cow. Those
Thanks Tj, the BK9 was in rough shape and polished up to be the best!
She never ceases to amazing me.
That is a fine looking nine. Looks keen too.
Yup, she is my baby!

I can cleany shave my arm, I have a bunch of patches missing now and look like an IDIOT.
My hand sharpening could pop a few hairs but would only be a few and it would pull.
These go to the skin all the way down and I don't even feel it.
Excellent work bro!!

Thanks Wood!!

You've sold me. Looks like I know what I want for my birthday/ Christmas.

Ohhhhhh boy, you will not regret it.
Definitely get the Ken Onion Edition, there's a set of belts on amazon for 40 bucks that are AMAZING that work with it.

Now you need to get just plain leather so you can strop using the work sharp... The edge would glisten if you did that!

That's amazing! I'd love to see a video of it in action if you have one or can make one.

That'd actually be a good idea if I had a decent recorder, all I have is my phone.
I could get my buddy to record me some time.

I had my mind made up to stick with stones and my new way of using just sandpaper
But the more I see this sharpener the more I think I want it...
And hope you do get around to recording using it on you tube if so please post it here I'd love to see it in action.

Haha whatever works bud!
I've been thinking of getting a go pro to do some recording in the brush doing stuff so maybe I could buy one now and use it.

Just wait a little bit and it'll be up!

I'm about to upload one now!

Would it be possible to use the Worksharp to reprofile, and then use a Sharpmaker just to touch up the edges? I know the Worksharp puts a convex edge, that's why I'm asking.

Yes you can, just like any other sharpening system!
Use it to fix the blades from all chip/tip rolling/Ect then you can use the sharpmaker for the actual edge and sharpening!
Very Useful System!
