BK9 Differences

Just curious as to what the differences (if any) there are between the Ka-Bar BK9 and the Camillus made version. Thanks for any info.
 
Camillus version is 1/4" thick. Never seen one up close, but I can imagine it's a monster chopper, weighing about 1 1/2 pounds...

I believe BluesStringer has one and used it quite a lot during the tornado cleanup.

Well, I actually have the camillus version and it doesnt seem that thick. Havent measured it but it seems more like 3/16 at first glance.
 
Camillus is .25 thick, Ka Bar is .188 thick. The grivory is different too.

Apple heads will pay .99 to look up info they can find for free. You will make hundreds of dollars a year
 
You should get a Ka-Bar 9. That way the micarta fits better. Oh, you probably won't be able to trade it to a dealer, but I know a guy with one to trade.....
 
Micarta fits just fine on my Camillus. :confused:
