Bk9 in a zombie chopping comparison

Hey guys, it has been awhile since I have been on, because while filming a little survival video I ended up getting sucked under a log in a river and destroyed my phone...

But! I have another light hearted knife comparison video up! In this video I chopped up some melons and things. This video is light hearted, so if you want to keep things completely hard core this video is probably not for you...

The Bk9 didn't do so well as I thought that it would, but there are so many variables at play that I can't be certain of the reason. Mostly likely just comes down to operator error.

So some of the knives that I was comparing it to did worse on chopping through wood and doing finite chores, but excelled at this mall ninja stuff.

I guess the Bk9 might not be the mall ninjas first choice... but I have decided that I am ok with that ;-)

Anyways, here it is. I hope someone gets some enjoyment from the video.

And if anyone gets mad at me about the results or says that it was rigged, my edc woods knife got last place. I am not saying that the results are perfect. They aren't. Too many variables, and too many that I couldn't control. But I did try my best to be fair.

That was fun. There are two things I want to see. One - the BK5 - which has the reputation of being the sliceriest (a prefectly cromulent word) of the Beckers. And two - that BK9 vs. a stripped BK9 to see how much the textured coating is gripping and tossing the sliced items.

Because, scientignificantly-speaking (cromulent), those melons represent zombies in some pretty advanced decomp. Great for 18 months into the apocalypse but what about tomorrow when the skulls are nice and boney? That's when you want chopping ability vs. slicing. Please procure fresh zombies for your next test. :)

Haha I would like to do some of those tests too! I need to get some more knives!
But to get more knives I need to get rid of some current ones.

I wonder what the ideal medium would be... Coconuts would be too hard... pineapples maybe?

Ill get it figured out lol

If someone wants to send me a stripped bk9 I could do a comparison video and ship it back lol

(I wish!)

Right now on my list of things to purchase for reviews includes about 20 machetes since that will be my next comparison, then a bk4 and bk21, as well as a bunch of other khukuris for comparison...

Basically a ton of crap LOL

I'll make that easy for you...
normal machete duty =Tramontina bush machete (I like the 18 or 20" models)
Heavy chopping = Ontario 22" HD machete and Cold Steel Magnum Kukri (be advised: both of these will be too dull to utilize on arrival)

Variables such as force and angle consistency influence outcome. Good video, actually made me hungry. Subscribed.

I was going to post about how I beat these knives to within a half inch of their half lives, due to how much whoring I did to them... but I forgot.

I missed a golden opportunity :/

I've been asking the guys at ZGB to do a test with the BK9 and see how it stacks up. But so far they've been busy testing other stuff.
