hey guys I just got my kydex sheath from azwelke in the mail this morning as well as a knife order that included an ESEE pouch. (along with 4 spydercos:D) I mounted the pouch on my BK2 like many have done but first I was playing around with some ideas.

so here is the 2 piece pancake sheath I ordered. very well done BTW. azwelke makes a very good sheath.

I tried out the pouch on the BK9 sheath and found 4 holes that line up perfectly. I didn't tighten the screws all the way because I was just experimenting.

this is just a possibility for a piggyback mount for the BK11/14 using one screw from the pouch. it would need a longer screw with a spacer/washers and then a ziptie or paracord through the small hole on the BK14 sheath which lines up with the hole on the 9 sheath then maybe some paracord along the top.

I didn't snap and pics but I did notice that 2 of the holes on the old removable belt loop bracket from the BK2 sheath line up with 2 holes on the BK14 sheath but it's not the right width for all 4. figured if someone wanted they could use the bracket to fab some kind of mount for a BK11/14 maybe.

finally here is how my BK2 rig is right now. I replaced the leatherman with the pouch and moved it to the side with zipties. I'm still tweaking but it should work. aside from what I put in the tin there's still room in the pouch for a lighter and I can stick a firesteel under the elastic that holds the pouch closed or use cable clamps to hold one as I've seen done on here before. if you didn't see my last thread on my bk2 sheath I used the lower half from an ESEE rc5/6 molle mount and added custom belt loops to make a drop platform that I really like.

Man that looks great. I was thinking about getting the pouch for my BK9 as well. When I have more money I plan on doing it with an ESEE junglas sheath. I think it will turn out pretty well.

grand prairie knives sells it for $18.95 + shipping. I ordered it on the 25th and got it on the 28th. that's fast, especially for a holiday weekend.

Excellent! I just ordered some sheaths from Al. Pics like these make the wait all the more harder....
