Finished up a kydex sheath for my BK9. I modeled it after a sheath that River-8 makes. Used 2 fastex buckles for the belt loop. This way you can just shove the buckle under your belt with out taking the belt off. The second fastex buckle allows the sheath to be taken off while leaving the belt loop attached to your belt. Turned out pretty good I think.

Looks great!

How thick is the kydex? What kind of rivets are those?

Thank you

Thanks for the comments guys!!

The kydex is .093 coyote brown and the rivets are copper rivets and burrs from Tandy Leather.

Very nice! Are you gonna model it for us too? I wanna see how it goes on.

How do you like those rivets? I've been thinking about using some like that for my leather work.

Yeah, I will take some more pics when I get home from work.

The rivets work really well, hold nice and tight.

And you'll be able to see it in person at the NW gathering!

That looks awesome Snakedoc. Looking forward to the photos wearing it. Great work my friend.

Looks sweet. Wish i had the time & the skills for some killer sheaths.

I may be sending mine back for more sheaths & mods when those tweeners come out.

Nice work! I'm liking the straps and whatnot. When you have the leg strap on, does it restrict your movements much?

Looking good. I like how you kept it wide should serve as a great platform for a pouch add-on.

Or as an emergency paddle :D

Nice work! Looks like it rides on your leg pretty comfortable. Is that your first kydex sheath? I really like your Hi-Vis straps on the knife handle :)

Thanks again everyone for all the kind words.
I have been off the forum for a while as the IT guy at work has now blocked BF :thumbdn:

No restriction at all really. The webbing is run thru the 1" ring at the top in a way that it lets the whole rig move with your leg. No binding even when sitting.

Yeah I suppose it might make a nice paddle!! :D
Not my first sheath, I have made a few here and there. Mostly focus on the trailhawk sheaths.
The Hi-Vis lanyard is a must for me. I spent a good hour looking for a knife once and did not ejoy it at all. I put them on all my knives.

1974 Chevelle Malibu. Was given to me by my Grandmother on my 17th birthday. My Grandfather bought it for her in 1974 for around $3200. I found the original window sticker while I was cleaning out her room after she passed.

Daily driver is a Ford Ranger though....
