looking for a chopper these seem to be the best for the price range but if yall have other opinions I would like to hear them thank-calvin

Between those two, BK9 all the way. Ergonomics are far better (for me) on the Becker. The RTAK has a cool look, but Beckers just plain work. The warranty is outstanding with Ka-Bar as well.

I have the bk7 and love it. The bk 9 is awesome as well, but for long term chopping I'd have to go for the rtak2. theres more weight, it's thicker, the grip will save your hands from being over worked. Plus when you get the micarta grips wet, it tends to get more grippy.I'm a big fan of backers that's why I went with them. I bring a hatchet along for chopping anything thicker than my leg. But when I want 2 bring only 1 that does (3) tasks well is my ontario sp8.. It saws, splits and cuts very well.

The handle on the BK9 is well proportioned and fit like a glove, while the Rtak2 is large, wide and really chunky.

Here is some video of me doing some internet bushcraft in the North American forrest with the Rtak2...

I have both but I prefer the RTAK 2. The added choil on the RTAK makes it better for doing finer tasks if that matters to you. The handle is chunky, and if you have smaller hands it might not be the best option. For me though it works well.

Personally, I'm in love with canvas micarta rtak grip. Can't get enough of that thing
