Hi guys,
I’m happy to join this forum. I have a passion for knives of all forms, both fixed knives and folders. It’s been a year and a half since I bought the King. I’ve chopped, cut, batoned and split wood with my BK9 and it stood up the expectations. I would like to know if you have any suggestions in order to keep the knife rust-free. I wipe it with some vaseline non food toxic oil before storing it in its sheath for a long time, but I don’t know if I should once in a while disassemble the handle and treat the tang as well (if so, which anti-rust is best?). I’m not very good with modifications and disassembling knives so I’d prefer to ask you for pro-tips. Thanks in advance!!!

Welcome to the forums.

The tang of your BK-9 should be coated, pretty much maintenance free.

If you like Becker knives, there’s a sub forum on here dedicated to that brand.

Ok thanks for the info and the instantaneous reply. I’m sorry I posted this in the wrong section and I’ll surely give a look to that sub forum. Cheers,
