hey yall
i am about to get a BK9 but it does not come with a sheath
i would prefer to not spend a bunch a money.
so can i order a stock sheath from kabar
or do yall know of any other lower cost options

Mine came with a sheath. Awesome knife
 
If you're planning on carrying it on your belt or whatever, I'm guessing you'll want to change to kydex anyway so I'd suggest to just save yourself the money from buying a stock sheath somewhere and get kydex instead. If you plan on putting it somewhere at home, or carrying it inside of your backpack than the stock sheath would suffise I guess. I'm awaiting a new 9 myself!
 
I like the sheath from kabar... It does the job and the pocket is a nice addition. My bk9 gets strapped to my pack anyways so i didn't see the need to replace the sheath and i am glad i didn't as it has held up well through some abuse...

Anyways beat the snot out of it when you get it as you will quickly learn the 9 can roll with the best of em
 
After posting this i went to the shed and was fooling around with some blades and wood and after chopping a peice of 2 year old maple with my tops anaconda for a while with out a lot of success i stopped and said this is just foolish... While the tops batons like a champ the becker chops like chuck norris in a round house kicking competition! Anyways long story short i was a dumba$$ for making the mistake of using the wrong knife for the job... I should get a big sign for my shed that says "Don't be silly... Grap the becker!"
 
If you want leather, check with Mauser or Psyop. For kydex, 710 is the man. All three of these guys do great work at very reasonable prices.

I have a leather sheath from Skyestorm Leatherworks for my Ontario Afghan. Great sheath! I believe they make sheaths custom, so the bk9 would fit. You can just get a plain one like mine, or get fire steel notches and pouches.
