Well, I just got the knife in the mail the other day and here is what I think of it so far.

First of all, it's a mean looking little knife. I was a bit disapointed in that it didn't have an edge when I recieved it, But 30 minutes on a diamond whet stone cleaned that up nicely. It took an edge well, and is still holding it, despite some serious abuse.

My favorite test of the edge holding ability of a knife is to open a soup can. I got the knife hair popping sharp and then stabbed it into a Campells soup can and opened it. after the can was opened, I ran it across my arm and the hairs still popped. I opened a larger can, this time of diced tomatoes, and after which it would no longer shave hairs.. but it did a sweet job of slicing paper.

I would also like to add that it works well for throwing, I've so far been able to land throws from as much as 15 feet away with it. it's balance is about a half inch up the hilt. And, thanx to the stilleto design.. it baries deep.

The powder coat didn't hold up well to the can treatment.. but who really though the powder coat would last anyways.

Anyways.. thats all for now..

Morkaleb,

Where did you get that model designation from? The link you posted to Camillus' website lists the knife you bought as the "Large Boot Knife (#CP77)".

I thought all the "BK" designations were saved for Becker knives (or Burger King 'food'...), but I've been wrong before...

a number of places actually. and yeah.. I thought it was saved for becker knives as well. I bought the knife at actiongear.com, it's called the bk930 there, as well all the documentation on it from camillus calls it a bk930.
