Difference is what, just the sharpened swedge? That shouldn't be hard to mod a regular into something like that.

This is a good point I hadn't thought about. A thinner knife will bind a bit more.without a proper edge, a thinner knife tend to penetrate deeper, and bind more, at least in my use.
That's back when Camillus was still around though... They were probably a bit more common and cheaper at the posting of that thread (August 2006)
