Trying to decide on my first small EDC fixed blade. I want something that is pocketable (expect front pocket) and also stainless steel. I am not a hard use guy. I am more of a collector but always have a knife in my pocket and they do get used for simple daily mundane chores. I want to be able to use it and I want stainless steel so it will be easier to maintain.
I have narrowed my choices down to four items.
Arno Bernard Meerkat > Small and interesting choices for handles. Relatively good pricing. Read tht N690 compares to VG10
Arno Bernard Gecko > A touch bigger in the handle then the Meerkat and still N690 blade.
Comes from a country that is part of the Commonwealth so I like that.
BKRT Micro Canadian in 154CM > I like the size and the steel plus being Canadian the name sings to me a bit. Read it is a great slicer.
BKRT PSK in ELMAX > Super steel. Would be a lot tougher or me to sharpen when the time comes.
Slimmer handles then the Arno Bernards, so more pocketable but maybe less comfortable when used. I like the made in USA idea as well.
If anyone had any photos of a side by side comparison of any of these it would be appreciated.
