Looks like a happy little girl.

As far as the strop/paddle goes, looks like it has been used on a regular basis. Not to worry though, as a kid, my brother and I had yardsticks, bolo paddles, wooden spoons, belts, fly swatters used on us. My grandmother even made us pick our own switches and pull all the leaves off except the last 4. Then she would proceed to wear us out. We turned out just fine.
