Davemacks ebay store has both black and red in the Pioneer Alox. Just received both today. They are both just beautiful!!! May have to oder another 2 later to put away. I need to order a signed Soldier for my collection. Just love those Alox models!!!
 
That black Alox is sweet. I just ordered one from FELINEVET, can't wait till it gets here!
 
Darthsoaker, that's a beautiful SAK, and it's one of the two or three best models Victorinox makes in my opinion. I didn't know they came in black until tonight. I haven't even see a red one for sale in several years. Besides my old red Vic Farmer I've carried for maybe 20 years, I've held in reserve another new red Farmer and a slightly used red Pioneer. The Pioneer is one I bought from a fellow who said he'd carried it to Africa twice and used it to clean and cut up small game and fruit, plus he ate with it. It was really gummy and nasty inside when I got it, but after soaking it in hot soapy water a couple of times and scrubbing it with an old toothbrusk, it cleaned up just fine. That was the best ten bucks I've ever spent.
 
The regular silver Pioneer was a great SAK, probably my favorite. :cool:

BUT, after EDC-ing my Black Alox pioneer for a bit of time, I've developed a very strong bond with this knife. And its only been what, less then three weeks? I will HAVE to buy at least 2 more, I love these little suckers. :cool: :thumbup:

There's one very small chip to the right of the shield, and on the very bottom. Both are very small. I do keep it in a pocket my itself. I would not carry it with anything else in my pocket, as I would think it would show wear somewhat easily.

But its so stinkin' cool! :cool:
