Hello guys , I just finished these two. The bolster on the white one is fixed with two inox pins and as you can see the line where it meets the scales is at angle. The real challenge here was that when I sand the inox , fine particles get inside the grain of the G10 and stain it. To avoid this I had to sand the handle under the water tap, so at the end my fingers had some serious wrinkles.
The colored piece in the black one is burl/resin hybrid. I thought a piece of snake skin would be nice on the sheath. There is a slight dimple on the ungrinded part of the blade. I guess it's from the rolling process.
Steel - Elmax 59-61 HRC.
OAL - 252 mm (~10").
Blade - 126Х26Х3.8mm (~5x1x0.15") flat grind with minimal secondary bevel.
Blade finish - p 800
Handle - G10 and inox .
Leather sheath.
Weight with/without sheath 198/281 grams.
