Black anodising

Hello. First post, hoping I’ve got the right section.

I started anodising titanium, mainly gun parts, triggers, chokes etc. Happy with all work but …

Occasionally people want black finishes, understand the heat / oil quenching process from YouTube etc but …

Wondered for precision items in a firearm, does this heat cycling affect integrity or tolerances of the titanium?

Huh...I didn't think you could anodize titanium. I heard from one of my engineering friends that that wasn't possible. Do you have any sample tests pictures you can show us.

I want to see the finalize product, but the sample tests for experimentation sounds more interesting to me.
