Hey fellas, slow night so I figured I do something I have been wanting to do ever since I had both millies in my possession.

Did a blade+hardware swap on my orange and digi-cam millie.

The thought to show the process of putting the knife back together occurred after the orange with black blade swap was done.

Here are some pictures. Keep in mind these are newer militaries (one blade was 04-09 and the other 03-09) so the back spacer is now threaded. I remember on an older millie I had the plastic back spacer had two metal "tubes" you needed to place into the backspacer so the screws could grab.

Anyways here is all the parts of the knife

Next I like to place the liner into the handle then screw in the backspacer.

Next add the other "liner", screw "tube" and blade with washers.

Since the knife is held together with the lanyard hold just swing over the other scale on top of the blade and screw the sucker up.

Ahh, back to new

Here is the orange millie with black blade(and clip) which I think looks kick ass!

Hope this helped anyone who was uncertain on how to reassemble a military and how easy it really is.

Technically yes, but it looks like this for the time being. The Goblin sleeps. :D

Its a real good look. One which would do well I'm sure. I just can't seem to find it in me to tear apart my digicam millie. Love it as is.

I like it....the orange mili is a great looking knife.
My only complaint is that it is tip down....guess I have to wait until version 2 comes out with tip up carry.

Nice work, the orange/black combo is sweet.
And you took great pics!
Love assembly pics, we need more of those ;)

I have the black blade camo mili arriving tomorrow and will do the swap with my orange mili. I have black torx screws arriving shortly to finish it off nicely.
