black cerakote liners for my 7, 15, roadhouse and persian!!!

I like that. I wouldn't mind doing that to a few of mine. You doing the coating yourself? Curious as to how easy it would be doing some myself but have no idea how Cerakote is applied.

Can you do Red?
rolf

thanks!!! i think they might have red too - i have only seen anthrazite, green and brown so far

Are you masking off the detents and lockface?

thanks!

no i only masked the pivot and stabilizer holes - i scraped the detent balls free after coating - was worried about the lockface first but the coating scrapes off by itself when deployed for the first few times... lockup even became a little earlier on my ptac- but detention got weaker on the ptac- ill have to scrape around the detents more

thanks!

had it done by a coating company which is located nearby

You said you were going to do it, and you did. Fantastic looking! Kudos.

thank you!

thanks!

once i get a karambit or other model with od green scales i will do black again- i dont know- it should match the scale color - maye od green or grey in the future

Grey might look pretty killer with some of the other color choices, for sure. Really good idea, is it an auto painting type place or...? I wouldn't know off the top who would do that kind of work.
Thanks, Neal

yeah grey would be nice- no it is a big company specializing in different coatings - mostly baked on powder type- the have different substrates...

i also had the company which does the real DLC - pvd coatings - do some coating for my (non knife related) products - i would have loved to apply DLC coating to my emersons but it is pretty expensive- maybe next tome i have some other parts coated...
