Hi Guys have posted this on the Spydie forum but thought it was time to ask a broader audience. I won the above knife on Ebay thinking it would be an early knife like my Magnum Research knife. However it has turned out to be quite different. Box date is 8/97 and the 'top' of the box has a large white label affixed with "BLAK-TI FINISH" printed on it. the knife itself is a S/steel item, coated black, with an ATS 55 blade. The finish texture and colour are similar to the earlier Magnum knife, but not quite as even.
Any ideas????? :confused:

i know they made a black coated millie and delica also IIRC but diisco'd them due to probs w/the coating, if i am remembering right, it would be in the same time frame.

Factory black bladed Police models were produced & discontinued during the Gin-1, G2 steel era IIRC. An ATS55 marked police model blade would indicate an aftermarket finish from unknown origin. Good luck in the search for answers, sometimes, that's half the fun.
