Fred Carter won the CKD photo of the week this week with his shot of my Black Diamond prototype. Hot -blued Devin Thomas spirograph with carbon fiber bolsters and black lip MOP scales and 14K gold pins. 5" overall.

Wow! Every one of those materials is beautiful, and when you add the blade to the bolsters to the MOP, the cumulative effect is just stunning. Nice knife! :)

Now, guys, in my own defense, we had been having a discussion on the CKD about how difficult this knife was to photograph. Fred emailed me and said he'd like a shot at it, so I sent it to him. He actually had to modify the knife to shoot it- some of the hot bluing was masking the nickel in the damascus pattern, so he gave it a light rub with Simichrome, and what you see is what he got.
