Black finish on a knife.

I am thinking about buying a NRA Benchmade Mini-Grip. They come with a black finish only. I was wondering how good is this finish? Need help/advice. :D
 
all black coatings are going to show wear over time with use. as far as benchmades coating is concerned, ive been very satisfied with how it holds up.
