Anyone have a pic of current Busse Black G10. Been a while sense I have had one with it. I just saw a pic posted in a trade thread that said black G10 but it had the look of a darker black micarta. The last black G10 Busse I had was solid deep black. Was thinking of ordering a naked Busse with black G10 but if I did I would want the deep solid black.
 
Usually a pretty deep black , no weird hues or tints. Haven't had solid black in awhile myself though , but from what I've been seeing in sale and picture threads looks good
 
I am wondering if black paper is what I had thinking it was G10. I do not see the upcharge for black g10 when oiled black micarta looks the same.
If this is the case I wish Busse would change the option for Black G10 to black paper micarta.

Hoping a satin leaner meaner will be offered soon with the paper micarta option.
 
I just got my yearly backache last night. I was laid up for 2 weeks last time.
Guess I'll have plenty of time drink to and think about things.:cool:
 
Thinking they discontinued the black paper so you could bite in the black g10 if you wanted the tuxedo look. i agree the black paper was a lot blacker. Regret selling a tglb I had with black paper handles.

Yes. It would be interesting if someone from the shop would chime in as to why things like popular handle options and coatings are discontinued. I know they are not beholden to explain things like this, but I am curious.

I understand the need to introduce new
things. However, I’m sure they have stats on how many people order a coating like tanker grey vs. other coatings for instance. I would then think that this would influence which coatings are kept and which are discontinued. I would think the same for handle options.

Personally I’m not crazy about coatings so when I find one I like like tanker and it just disappears it can be frustrating.

I think I remember Jefe chiming in about tanker gray, I thought the actual coating color had been discontinued by whoever made it.
