Took delivery on a 154 pattern knife today. It said Schrade USA on the blade, had black scales, and hunting on the shield. Did a search and found it was a promotional knife. The blade was ham fistedly cleaned, but after a little work it will make a fine user. Sad how many are so willing to slap a knife on grinder/ belt sander, removing a knife's character, oh well he didn't mess up the grind lines too badly. Yeah, it is a bit disappointing to get what should be a nice limited SFO collector knife and find that the previous owner displayed his lack of skill on the blade for all eternity. I've paid attention to these knives and went to the trouble to track down the offer (publisher was of no assistance).
