For 50 bucks, you can get a black blade in the Trekker pattern. I'm sure Victorinox has a marketing strategy here, but I'm not seeing it. As a user, I'm beating the hell out of mine and got it for 15 bucks at a pawn shop.

Those prices are ridiculous! Especially considering you can get similar knifes with the same tools for less than 1/2 those prices. I love Victorinox knives but I'm not paying that much just for a subdued finish on the tools.
