Any one out there have the Black Jack Grunt or the Big Country Kampr?
Any field experience from any one? I read an article in one of the knife mags and it did very well. The Big County Kampr that is. They used the knife to skin a gator. I sure some of you remember the article. Thanks.

Everything I have heard is that they are fairly tough for being 3/16 due to the convex profile which makes for a lot of material all the way from the spine to the edge. I have never met someone who owns one though. I know people have discussed the Kamper in the past on the forums, but I don't remember hearing anything negative about it. Also, AUS8 (440B) is a good steel, with good corrosion resistance and toughness. Randall uses forged 440B on it's stainless blades. 0.8% Carbon is a lot for a big knife. The price is right also for a big knife.

However, with the Becker line out there, I am not sure that I would buy a Kamper since a BK7 or 9 would fill the bill for less money.
