Hey guys, although I've had both of these fine knives, I was wondering if anyone here could tell me exactly what the difference is between the Trail Guide model and the Model 125. I'm not sure if they are making the Trail Guide any longer or not, but I do have an older model in 52100 with a chestnut handle and single guard and it seems to be an awful lot like the model 125 I used to have in A2 prior to a rather dumb trade I made a while back. The only thing that really stood out to me, was the grind on the newer model was much cleaner...no vertical striping at all, and the older model had visible grind lines. I'm not sure if that has something to do with Bark River governing the work on these now or what.

Not a life or death question by any means, I'm just curious.

Thanks,

Scott

The 125 is a larger knife. Probably by an inch or so in the blade if I recollect.

The Trail Guide is a 9" knife with a clip blade, and the 125 is a 9½" knife with a drop point blade. Still, very similar.
