Recommendation? Black laser markings or Deep Laser Engraving

We are looking for your your thoughts if we should update the Custom Knife Shop markings from the black markings to a deep laser etching.

A picture of the difference would be helpful. Edit: Having looked at my collection, the black Buck with black anvil is not preferred. But I thought they had to do that for the premium metals?

I have an Open Season knife that the black laser marking has actually wore off.

All of our current 420HC blades are deep laser etched not stamped. There was a thread on here about the 192 Vanguard looking different.

I like the deep laser engraving. It is much cleaner than the old stamps on 420HC and would be nice on the custom shop blades.

Why is there such a difference in the tang stamp on these 2 knives? I am aware of the date codes and such. I am referring to the positioning of the lettering
, tge lack of period dots between the USA on the 2024 model ect. I found this on the official buck website that matches the 2024 tang stamp. I didn't know Buck used a Deep Laser Engraving until I got my Buck 124 on Monday.

For a microsecond I thought it was a CQ issue. Happy I was wrong! Magnificent knife!

And no, you can't borrow it!

How about just bringing back the good old fashioned stamps we used to have on Buck Knives.

I know the bean counters want to use the cheapest thing possible.

How about ignoring them and doing the right thing?
