Black manix 2 or not???

The coating on the Manix 2 is DLC and is supposedly the strongest coating you can get for a knife. I say go for it if you like it, the Manix 2 is a great knife.

Yeah but it will still come off eventually. I think 5.56 has a pic of a black military of his thats pretty worn off.

I ordered the Regular manix 2... Couldn't see paying that much extra for it being black..

Just a heads up. There are many sprint run Manixes on the market right now. So you might want to scoop up one of those first. Otherwise I think the black Manix is pretty sick, I like the look of a well used knife with the coating worn off, but I guess I'm just a bit odd

All of the screws and liners are in black.

It would have been nice if the polymer was black.

And one of those fine sprint runs is the black coated, Stag Arms edition featuring all black hardware and a S30V blade instead of the 154CM. Pretty slick!

What's the deal with the sprint run knives? Are they better? Just special

Sprint runs are Spyderco's limited edition knives. They are usually spin offs of regular production models with different steels, handle colors, blade grinds and stuff like that. Sometimes they are old discontinued models that they re-make as well. Like I said they're limited editions, only a few hundred are usually made. If you already ordered a regular manix, dont feel like you made a bad choice.. cause you didnt.

I'm not a fan of coated blades. I don't see any benefit to them in my uses. And they get funked up looking pretty quick in my limited experience with them.

Got my manix 2 today!! Dayum!! I'm in love with it.. Now I want more spyderco's... Which one next? I really like the blade shape of the manix so probably gonna get another one with a similar blade..

Try a para 2 or a superleaf.

Or a Sage 2. Smaller blade but a great RIL knife.
