I'm looking at the Grayman Knives Ground Pounder and can't decide which grips I like better. It's hard to tell just by looking at it on the internet, and I don't know much about the difference in material. Grayman says the Micarta is better for barehanded chopping and batoning, but he also says that over 90% of their customers order the G10. Also, in the review, the reviewer states that the Gator Grips are made from green Micarta (I think this is just a mistake on his part or a misprint). Can anyone tell me more about the two materials or the advantages and disadvantages of the choices? It looks like the grips are epoxied on, so once you decide, you're stuck with it. Thanks.

The grips are green or black micarta (depending which is offered at the time, he runs out of the colors) and also G-10. What is on the site is accurate. Additionally, the grips are NOT epoxy'd on. If you want different grips, just unscrew the grips and put new ones on. His knives are made to be serviced in the field. I own 4, including the new folder. They are great knives.
