Guys,
With all the attention that the FISK/OVB Bowie and the CUDA MAXX 5.5 have gotten...we seem to have forgotten about the new CUDA Combat Knives in the lineup. We just started shipping the new versions of the TERZUOLA designed CQB series, ...the BLACK OPS CQBs! These are the same pattern knives, but made with our favorite carbon steel, 0170-6C, and black epoxy powdercoated, like the BK&T lineup! These knives are the "Service Grade" versions of the premium ATS-34 versions...they feature the same canvas micarta scales with the same 3-d countours, but without as much polishing...leaving the handles rougher for more grip, but also saving considerable $$$'s;)

Also, the knives feature kydex lined nylon sheaths, much like the sheaths with the BK&T Combat/Utility 7...a very practical sheath design, at a considerable savings.

All these savings equate to a great value to the user...the BLACK OPS CQB is half the cost of the premium CQB! We will still make the stainless/polished version for those who want the finest, but those the user that wants to get "down and dirty" with a user knife, that will deliver the performance at a price that can be afforded, the BLACK OPS is the KNIFE!

Here is a pic of the full size CQB3s[partially serrated]. The first websites that I know of that has this knife up for sale are

www.1sks.com

www.crknives.com

The value in this knife can't be beat!

Chris,
I thought of that early on...the problem is that the steel thickness for the BLACK OPS is slightly thicker, and the sheath from the regular CQB doesn't fit very well on the BLACK OPS. Sometimes you get the knife in, and can't get it out:rolleyes:

That is another way we lowered the cost of the knife, we used a standard thickness of 0170-6C, instead of surface grinding it. For a good molded Kydex fit, you need constant thickness[exact] steel. Unless you get an aftermarket sheath made to the exact knife, which is what I expect quite a few forumites will do...

For the record, yes we will sell you a sheath, but we will warn you that it probally won't fit your CQB3.

Thanks for the interest!

Here is the CQB3S and its supplied sheath....

Hmmm. I gues I could try the old "honest honey, its a limted edtion collectors item" line. This looks too good not to have one.

Thanks Will, I think.

Can 0170-6C knives be stored in sheath? or should I follow the directions that come with my "cold steel" and keep them elsewhere?
