Black or Stonewash Combat Karambit?

I am torn between either a black or stonewash Combat Karambit? I am leaning more towards the stonewash finish because that is what I have all my other emersons in (CQC-7, Horseman and Mini CQC-15) and don't own any black coated knives. The only thing is I've found a black Combat Karambit for about $20 less than a stonewash and it seems like a better deal cause the black coated version originally costs a little more. Should I take the plunge and get my first black blade knife? This would strictly be carried for self-defense (I know it's not optimal especially without training). I have heard it is better to have an all black knife so it would be more concealable in the hand. But I also feel that having a more visible blade plays more into the intimidation factor and might deter an attacker better. What do you guys think? Black or Stonewash? And please no ramblings about how knives aren't optimal for SD and that it is more about training and using your brain to get out of a dangerous situation cause I already know that. Thanks. Stay sharp!

IMO, stonewash is way better looking... Go with what you prefer the look of, since blade finish isn't going to matter much in a self defense position.

i would say get whatever u can get your hands on because those are very rare knives and hard to come by. but if you can choose between the 2 i'll pick the stonewash. there's something sexy about the emerson stonewash.....=D

I have the stonewashed also. My next will be the black. When I've carried IWB, the black holds up against the sweat better.
