steel was carbon steel 1.2552 "brüniert" (dont know the english word) and the handle is orange g10.

bladethickness 5mm on both.

blade length: 160mm
length overall : 300mm

the second one will be :
length overall : 330 mm; blade length: 202mm

Just some short further explanation for Jürgen:

1.2552 is a 0.8 % carbon, 2 % tungsten tool steel. Very tough and abrasion resistant. Good stuff for big knives.

The surface is hot gun blued on both knives.

Juergen, very nice:eek:

I like the one at the top the most:thumbup:

Great looking knives. I like the combo of colors and the finger grooved handle. Fantastic work.

Juergen, I still like the design of that SRE a lot. And of course, I do worship the 1.2552 steel. Achim, indeed, great to see you over here ... :D
Cheers

They will make excellent survival/rescue knives. Juergen, you can be proud of those stickers.... Boy, as usual, you ROCK !!!!!

Very nice work... I like the idea of using orange for an outdoor knife.
Makes them very easy to spot..

That sure is a neat one. I like the orange and have a few.

Happy Holidays
