Where is the cheapest place online to get Black Ranger Bands? Just need 4-5 of them. Thanks!

Ryan

Just go and get a bicycle tire and cut it up. Then you'll have enough to last a lifetime!

Well... Give or take...

Yes, I asked at a local bicycle repair shop if they could sell me an inner tube that was punctured beyond repair but rubber in good shape and they gave me two in different sizes for free.

I have tire tubes ... so ranger bands are made of the same way bike tubes are made, not just like a regular large elastic rubber band?

Far as I know, Ranger bands ARE cut up inner tubes from bike tires. That's the impression I'VE always had, anyway.

Sincerely,
Anthony

Here are two RRBs holding a Pocketwrench to my PSK:

Your local bike shop should be able to oblige you with as many feet of "raw material" as you want, free of charge.

Yup...ranger bands are just clever marketing for some cut up bicycle innertubes. But I am sure they have many and varied uses and come in handy where you don't want duct tape residue. Plus making your own from an innertube should be cheap or free. :)
BTW I have never seen anyone use them in the Army much less a Ranger. YMMV

I always thought that the Ranger bands got their name from appearing in the Ranger's Digest series (I think that's what its called). I've never read these, but I've been told they're mentioned in them. Besides, "Ranger Bands" sounds so much less back-woods than "Cut up inner tube."

Sincerely,
Anthony
